Labor Day at the Zoo

We had a fun family day at the zoo today.  We've been cooped up with 3 out of 4 children sick all week, and we desperately needed some fresh air! It was super hot, but we had tons of fun. This is what we looked like from afar...

It's so fun to see Rosemary's interest in the animals now.  Before, she didn't notice them.
Now, she makes all of the sounds and wants to get a closer look.

Rosemary's first carousel ride.  She cautiously loved it!

I know that pictures from the zoo are not going to bring me a lifetime of happiness, but we saw some really amazing things today that you need to see!!!

Ahhh, my favorite...

3 month old baby monkey (of some sort) and a 3 day old duckling (per the zoo keeper)

Is this insane or what??
This wasn't in an exhibit.  This thing ran right in front of the stroller!
As I was screaming I just had to take a picture!!
 Gorilla feeding time

We had a great Labor Day, and we can't wait for cooler weather so we can go
back to the zoo another day!

Summertime

A small glimpse of us enjoying the sun and being busy doing nothing!

Rosemary and Ethan "hugging".  Too sweet!
Contrary to Adam's face, the babies had great fun splashing in the water and playing in the sun.
I love that these babies are growing up together!!!

Violet, 3 Weeks (a little late)

Well, this just about sums us up!!

And, I laugh every.single.time I see this picture!
This is my sweet grandfather, who just about once a week, came to my rescue to help me hold babies when I was not yet able to pick Rosemary up.  Papa's face says it all :)!  And I love how Rosemary is glaring at Violet as if to say, "would you shut up" :)!

I'm not doing quite as well at keeping up with sweet Violet's pictures.
Honestly, I'm sadly even taking pictures of anybody.  My goal...do to better!
But, you see, this baby is getting plenty of loving...

With Violet being our 4th, we had to just jump right into life.

Noble's T-Ball season started...
We tried to do fun things with the children on the weekends since, at this point, I couldn't really get out of the house.

We took the kids to the park...

and quickly realized how hard life outside of the house was realistically going to be!
Sounds silly, but it was hectic.  Everyone had a different need, whether it was to be held, pushed, caught, fed, changed, whatever!

And we quickly realized that our old side-by-side double stroller that we love was NOT.GOING.TO.WORK!
Let's just say I went home that night and researched tandem double strollers and had one immediately sent to our front door!

We did have fun though!

The boys ran and played, and the girls lazed in the sun eating snacks and coloring!

We're actually more confident in our outings at this point, and hopefully I'll take some pictures to document them!
